Raisbeck announces 400th King Air system sale

September 12, 2000 - Seattle, Washington USA
Raisbeck Engineering, the Seattle-based aeronautical engineering firm, today announced the sale of their 4000th King Air Performance System to Currey Aviation Services, Georgetown, Texas.

Currey Aviation, buyers and sellers of used aircraft, purchased a full Enhanced Performance Kit for King Air 200 s/n BB-376. This aircraft will be on display at the NBAA New Orleans static exhibit, October 10-12.

In addition to aircraft sales, Currey Aviation operates charter services, and recently opened a Fixed Base Operation in their new 40,000 sq. ft. facility at the Georgetown Municipal Airport.

Says Robert Currey, President, "The Raisbeck Systems improve performance, and clearly improve aircraft resale value and time on the market. We install Raisbeck on our King Airs because every penny we spend on Raisbeck comes right back to us."

Raisbeck Engineering began the design and certification process for King Air performance improvement products in 1981, and sold its first System to Pope & Talbot, Portland, Oregon, in 1982. Raisbeck Systems are designed to positively impact one or more of the following areas of productivity: payload, range, block speed, operational flexibility, operating costs, and style.

Raisbeck has developed a total of seven Systems for the King Air family of aircraft: 4-Bladed Quiet Turbofan Propellers, Ram Air Recovery, Leading Edges, Dual Aft Body Strakes, High Flotation Gear Doors, Nacelle Wing Lockers, and Composite Exhaust Stack Fairings. Raisbeck Systems can be found on 35% of the worldwide King Air population, and on over 50% of the 200/B200 family.

Raisbeck-engineered products for the Beechcraft King Air fleet remain free of any FAA-mandated Airworthiness Directives, Safety Service Bulletins, and Causative Accidents.

James Raisbeck, CEO, commented, "We are grateful for the overall acceptance of our products in the marketplace. The future for Raisbeck Engineering is bright. We look forward to developing and certifying many more products to meet the needs of the business and commercial aviation communities."

Raisbeck Engineering, along with subsidiary company Raisbeck Commercial Air Group, designs, engineers, certifies, and manufactures systems to increase airplane productivity on business and airline aircraft.
