Raisbeck-equipped Learjet 31A-136 on its way to higher altitude cruise

Raisbeck’s ZR LITE Performance System for the Learjet 31 fleet receives EASA certification

September 25, 2007 - Atlanta, Georgia USA

Raisbeck Engineering has received EASA European certification covering its ZR LITE Performance System for the Learjet 31. Learjet 31A-136 was test-flown by EASA test pilots and Raisbeck’s certification pilot Pete Reynolds at Raisbeck Engineering’s flight test facilities at Boeing Field in Seattle Washington.

The Lear 31 follows EASA certification for the ZR LITE SYSTEM as installed on the Lear 35/36 fleet in 2006, which has been heralded by those European operators who have equipped their aircraft.

European Learjet 31 operators can now utilize the same performance benefits as those Raisbeck-equipped Learjet 31 operators certified by the FAA.

ZR LITE Performance Systems for the Learjet 31 have reached many aircraft; including Wal-Mart’s fleet of 14 aircraft and NASCAR champion Rusty Wallace’s Learjet 31A-ER.

The Raisbeck ZR LITE drag reduction package is engineered to give the aircraft faster climb, higher initial cruise altitude, and save 10 percent or more in block fuel. It also extends range up to 14 percent depending on cruise altitude.

“I am excited for the Lear 31 European operators who can now opt to reduce their block fuel costs while expanding their performance envelope with ZR LITE,” said Nick Nicholson, Sales Manager for Learjet Performance Systems. “In addition, we at Raisbeck Engineering strive to have all our systems certified worldwide in order to keep the aircrafts’ marketplace and resulting resale value at its highest level”.

European certification of the ZR LITE is fully compatible with Bombardier Aviation Services and West Star Aviation’s RVSM system as well as Avcon Industries Delta Fins, Extended Tip Tanks and IGW systems.

Raisbeck Engineering was founded in 1973 and continues to dedicate itself to improving the productivity, safety and performance of business and commercial jet-powered aircraft. More company information can be found on this Web site.
