Raisbeck Engineering supports Blackhawk Modifications Inc. in their endeavor to certify and market -61 Pratt & Whitney engine conversions to King Air 200 series
October 30, 2007 - Seattle, Washington USA
Raisbeck Engineering Inc. and Blackhawk Modifications Inc. have signed a comprehensive agreement working together in re-engining the King Air 200/B200. Raisbeck will assist Blackhawk with certain certification requirements and a FAA approved Flight Manual Supplement for all King Air 200 series with a Blackhawk Pratt & Whitney -61 engine upgrade and Raisbeck Platinum EPIC.
Blackhawk has upgraded over 100 turboprop aircraft since 2000, and to keep up with customer demand for Raisbeck Performance Systems, this agreement is essential. For 25 years, Raisbeck has been designing, developing and marketing Performance Systems for King Air aircraft. Blackhawk specializes in upgrading the King Air 90 and 200 series aircraft; Raisbeck EPIC sales for the 90 series have doubled since 2005 and nearly 60 percent of the 200 series fleet is Raisbeck-equipped.
Raisbecks Vice President and General Manager, Sam L. Jantzen Jr. said, We are pleased with this arrangement as we are convinced there are many King Air 200 owners and operators seeking the performance benefits only available with the combination of Blackhawks -61 Pratt & Whitney engine and Raisbeck EPIC Performance System.
Each Raisbeck Performance System is individually engineered to enhance specific operational areas. These systems are packaged to take advantage of the positive synergistic effects they collectively produce. In 2005, Raisbeck packaged these under the name EPIC. A Platinum EPIC includes Quiet Turbofan Propellers, Ram Air Recovery System, Enhanced Performance Leading Edge, Dual Aft Body Strakes, High Floatation Gear Doors, and new Airplane Flight Manual Supplement.
Blackhawk Modifications Inc. is a recognized aviation leader in providing engine performance solutions to the turboprop fleet.
Raisbeck Engineering was founded in 1973 and continues to dedicate itself to improving the productivity, safety and performance of business and commercial jet-powered aircraft. More company information can be found on this Web site.
